My parents are planning to go for a visa interview. What is difference between me inviting them to visit me versus they applying as tourists. I understand that if they apply as tourists they need to provide documents showing that they can support themselves.
Will coming as a tourist diminish the possibility of getting 10 year multiple entry visa. Any thoughts on this issue is much appreciated.
Tourists -> They support themselves financially during entire trip
Invite -> You support them financially during entire trip
The chances of getting 10 years multiple entry as a tourist is less likely, if they apply as tourists. Again, it is up to the I/O.

You can be a passive partner (investor) in any startup (even without any visa). To be an active partner, you need to be a permanent resident or citizen in US. Here is a link for the details... Hello folks,
My H-1 extension got approved recently . My visa has expired on the passport and I need to get a new stamp. The dates in all Indian consulates are full.
So can someone let me know whether going to canada/mexico for extension stamping is ok?

These guys did not mention specifically "legal immigrants" but to me that sounds even easier since most of them possibly have decent wages and also maintain a legally sound lifestyle.

I was wondering if there is a limit on the # of travels for each AP approval. I received 2 AP documents valid until May 2010. I have already travelled twice. On my first return the immigration officer kept my AP document at POE (NY) but the 2nd time it was stamped & returned (Washington DC was POE) to me. I was wondering if I could use this document for subsequent re-entries or do I have to apply for a new AP.

What if, only H4 holder (AOS pending) returns to USA using valid (till Dec' 09) H4 stamping ? Do they (at POE) come to know that spouse's 485 has been approved ?
H1 holder (485 approved) will return afer couple of days.

My 140 was approved in september (EB2; IN) and i belong to july 2 VB fiasco.
i was just checking my case status online and i noticed that my LUD for 140 (which has been approved) was changed to december 2007.
what does that mean?? i hope its not an RFE or rejection after approval just like some other people on the forum.
Can anyone please help me out.

I think there is a rule, heard from a student who was advised by the International Student Advisor. They should be the most reliable source of this information.
